Warren grows up

Jamaal and I were working very hard at our jobs, getting promotions and moving up the career ladder.  Jamaal had gotten called in to work 2 night in a row to help with emergency’s and the Bistro had me learning new recipes and working late so that when they day approaches for Warren’s birthday it has slipped both our minds.  I came home from work that night to find my little toddler was now a child!

Jamaal and I felt so bad that we had missed this day! While he was sleeping that night we redecorated his room, even with us both having lack of sleep so when he woke up he had a brand new toy box and a desk to do his school work at.  We both promised him that soon we would be doing some remodeling and we would then let him help redecorate it.  Despite us missing this important day he still was very happy and seemed to love  being outdoor and playing chess with his daddy.

Jamaal and I started talking about how we did not have much longer and we both wanted another child.  We decided to make one attempt at it and if it was to be then that would be it for us.  The next night we were both home and had the energy to try and the next morning I knew!  I woke up with that familiar nauseous feeling and spent the morning tossing my breakfast and getting household chores done.  That evening at work I let my boss know I was going to have another baby, that this was our last one.  She was ecstatic for us and happily game me maternity with pay again.  That night while eating dinner I felt the kick and sure enough there was that bump! (Now why do my kids like to do this every time I am eating my dinner?)

Jamaal was thrilled the next morning when I was able to tell him, Warren was very happy as well.  This time we all wished for a little girl, that would complete our perfect little family.
